Anthea Marcella

"I am an Artist and Illustrator.  I have paintings in private collections, in England and America and here in Australia.  Along with my interest in Art, I am a Pianist/Musician and I play and teach several instruments. I am lucky enough to have come from a very talented family!  Both of my parents were accomplished musicians and music teachers, my father unfortunately is no longer with us, but my mother (Norma Marcella) is, and along with her musicianship, she is also an award winning artist.  My sister is very well known in the Arts both here in Australia and Internationally.My art is very special to me, and I accept commissions as well as hold exhibitions.I have been specializing in equine and animal art, including pet and horse portraits on commission.  I really love doing these – I have always loved horses and all animals really!Along with all of this, I also really enjoy doing portraits of people – I have painted children and adults in both pastels and graphite/charcoal – both of which look really stunning!In response to requests to see the 'face' behind the name ... I have included a personal photograph of myself and my wonderful son, Adam - who is a computer whizz and always comes running when I yell for help – which is on a very regular basis!!!  He has been so wonderful in helping me set up this website – I would have had no idea!
